Public sector & geospatial
Software for public institutions and geospatial data
We build digital addressing, mapping and citizen-facing apps for public institutions. Our engineering team delivered a national institute's digital addressing system, with address search, routing and a mobile app, six months from kickoff.
Organisations we've built for
Where we come in
When people and places can't be found
These are the situations we are asked to fix.
Addresses nobody can find
Streets and buildings have no reliable digital address, so deliveries, services and emergency crews lose time.
A digital address register with search, maps and routing, kept up to date.
Counters and queues
Citizens need a trip and a paper form for things that could be done online.
Web and mobile services that people can use on any device, built to be accessible.
Maps and registers apart
Maps, registers and records live in separate systems that don't exchange data.
Data exchange between your systems, so the same place is the same record everywhere.
Accessibility duties
Public bodies must make their websites and apps accessible, and it is hard to retrofit.
Accessibility built in from the first design, not added at the end.
What we build
Geospatial and citizen systems that last
Built to be run by your team for years.
Address and map search
Searchable address registers on maps, for staff and the public.
Routing and navigation
Routes between places, in a web app and a mobile app.
Citizen apps
Web and mobile services for requests, forms and updates.
Registers and data exchange
Records and interfaces that keep your systems in step.
Platforms we start from

Rules we build for
What public institutions are held to
This isn't legal advice: your legal and security teams have the final say.
Accessible by law.
EU rules require public bodies' websites and apps to be accessible (Directive (EU) 2016/2102), with EN 301 549 as the standard behind them. Every web app we build targets WCAG 2.1 AA, and we check the standard's requirements with you.
NIS2 for public administration.
Public administration is a sector under NIS2, which expects security in your supply chain (Art. 21(2)(d)). We make that check easy to answer.
BSI IT-Grundschutz.
Many German public bodies work to IT-Grundschutz, the BSI's method for an information security management system. Tell us early if you do, and we plan the project's security requirements around it.
What we've built
A national institute's digital addressing system
What was built
A digital addressing system for a national geospatial institute in Ethiopia: address search, routing, a mobile app and a way for people to contribute places.
How long it took
The system went live six months after kickoff. The full write-up is in our case studies.
